UK Status Resident. Widely distributed in England and Wales especially around the coastal counties. Montgomeryshire Status Rare. Recorded from a single site in the south of the county at Staylittle in 1975. Wingspan : M & F, 10-16mm. Confusion species M. obviella. |
Flight time & Voltinity
(Bivoltine?)  Habitat Wherever the food source is found. Foodplant Reported feeding on stored seeds and woollen material. Also found in poultry houses. Lifestage data Little is known about this species, but it appears to occur more outside that other species of Monopis. |
